Craig Wolpert has asked me to post a link to a great new sample composite application that he and Jo Grant have implemented. I think this is a great sample. It shows how to do things with Notes 8.0 you couldn't implement with previous Notes versions and that give real benefits for customers.
I want to thank Craig and Jo for their hard work on this sample. They've done an incredible job from planning this work to the delivery of the sample and soon more documentation. They have shown us the holes in our design and the bugs in our code. By implementing this sophisticated sample they have helped development a lot. I wouldn't know what we had done without them. Thank you.
The text below is from Craig as it is also posted to the Notes beta forum.
Jo Grant and Craig Wolpert are members of the IBM Workplace and Lotus Software ISV Technical Enablement team. We have developed a Lead Manager sample to demonstrates the new composite application features in Lotus Notes 8 and Lotus Domino Designer 8. This composite application demonstrates how component views can be created from existing Notes applications and assembled together into one seamless work environment that boosts end user effectiveness by bringing all the elements of the process together. Some of the techniques described in the two posted Application Development Articleshave been leveraged and the remaining articles will be written to provide more details.
Post questions regarding this application as a response to this entry.
This sample does not require a Domino server or WebSphere Portal server.
