Many of my readers know that I'm kind of a gadget nut, always adopting bleeding edge solutions and gadgets that frequently end up in some storage closet, like my original Apple Newton. Hmm, I may pull that out over the weekend. It still works and when I take it out at a meeting people ask..what is that ??? I tell them an Apple Newton and they say "are you kidding". I still have the first RIM pager. In fact, I've been a loyal Blackberry RIM user since owning the first RIM device the Blackberry 850.
Interesting enough, many people have asked if I've picked up the new iPhone. Answer is NO. It seems like a nice device but I've decided to stick with my Blackberry and in fact, I'm quite interested in the Blackberry Bold. So no, I'm not interested in waiting in line for the iPhone. I heard you can't even do an in store activation. iTunes seems to be having problems with upgrading iPod Touch users to V2 of the software. Seems pretty messy at this point. Who knows what kind of reliability we will see with the apps. Hey, I'm a big fan of Apple, but I'm a loyalist and for my mobile device its RIM. On the other hand my loyalty on the laptop side is my MacBook Pro. I'm sure Apple will get the problems ironed out.
