I'm going to be in Las Vegas from Feb 22 until Feb 27 to visit the IBM Pulse conference. This is a pretty good time to meet and talk about BVQ business opportunities. Or do some technical deep dives into the inner world of SVC or Storwize performance characteristics. Who ever is interested on meeting - just send me a note. Michael.Pirker@sva.de Until then Michael

How analysis windows support storage performance analysis (and make it by factors faster) BVQ version 5 introduces a new interface which allows the grouping of logically connected views into dashboard-like analysis windows. These groupings can then be stored as favorites and can be used like recipes to help solve problems quickly. The following picture shows an analysis window which gives an overview of a complete storage system. This analysis window describes the data path and the load in the hardware in a way that allows for... [More]

The IBM Cisco VersaStack comes with a set of GUI's for the Cisco UCS and the IBM storage. Both enable to manage the system but storage monitoring and analysis capabilities are poor. This is like flying a plane without a cockpit! BVQ adds the needed cockpit with all necessary information in only one screen! The CeBIT VersaStack / BVQ cockpit project Target was to setup a complete monitoring system for the storage component of the IBM Cisco VersaStack solution which is a Storwize V7000 in this case.
