I would like to collect and share information about BVQ Business Volume Qualisicion in this blog.
BVQ has been developed by SVA since 2008 to improve storage efficiency and lower storage costs in SVC environments.
Everybody knows that SVC is a great product – it works and delivers!
But nobody knows whether SVC is running in an optimal way.
I like to compare the situation of SVC administrators with being forced to always be in motion in a dark room.
- Rule 1 – MOVE IN ANY POSSIBLE DIRECTION DON’T STAND!
- Rule 2- NEVER TOUCH A WALL!
Understandably this administrator feels better when he can enlarge this room in any direction to minimize the risk of touching
a wall. This means in IT terms to increase performance, capacity and redundancy. Good business for the vendors.
What we do with BVQ is rather simple – we sell that torch that allows you to get the most needed performance and capacity details from SVC.
This torch is the application BVQ.
With this torch the administrator can keep the environment on an acceptable level and save a lot of hardware and software costs.
Do you remember that purchasing costs are only a small fraction of the complete IT costs?
I would like to introduce the BVQ torch in the following blog entries and I would be happy to discuss performance and capacity
optimization with BVQ.
working for IBM as Sales Leader for SVC in Germany. I founded the German SVC user group (SVC Treff) with more
than 600 members today. (Just enter the words “SVC Treff” in Google – the first link will lead you to this group,
language here is German).
Europe.. For the second time in a row, SVA has received the IBM BestSeller Award as best storage partner in 2012.
