The session at Innovate 2012 on Mobile UI Development Challenges and Tradeoffs was packed - standing-room only - and (in my assessment) there was a great amount of energy and excitement.
Alexander Muse, CEO of ShopSavvy, told tales from the perspective of a pioneer in mobile e-Commerce, and the audience took in every bit of experience and knowledge that he shared. I followed with a discussion about how far we have come in just the last year with mobile HTML5, both in terms of toolkits (Dojo, jQuery, Sensha, PhoneGap/Cordova) and on the developer tool front, particularly due to the exciting announcements about IBM Mobile Foundation platform, including IBM Worklight Studio. Then I introduced (and demo'd) Maqetta as a complementary design tool, under development in open source at Maqetta.org.
