TRIRIGA is the leader in Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) software and we are working hard every day to improve it and deliver even more Return On Investment (ROI) for this suite. One way we do this is by taking advantage of the latest technology in application servers, databases, operating systems and much more. To stay current, we must set limits on the time we can support a release. A product released in 2006 could not envision the capabilities or security challenges we might have in 2015. For this reason, IBM employs a 5 year support policy for major releases of products. By the end of 5 years, it is likely that the technology we used to create the release has also ended it's support. Old versions of third party databases and application servers aren't able to be supported and we have no control over these things.
The current release of TRIRIGA includes Platform level 3.5.1and application 10.5.1. This is a powerful release for a number of reasons. For one, it is a release of the year+ old 3.5 code base. This is a very stable release and we have taken that and added powerful function and security. Here are some of the key values:
We removed several Java applets minimizing the need for client configurations
3.5.1 is the TRIRIGA Platform release to have and we encourage your team to adopt it as quickly as possible. Platform upgrades are the most simple of upgrades requiring only an install (from 3.1 on) and testing. Application upgrades (to 10.5.1) can be challenging and we often recommend a services engagement with someone who has done upgrades before when custom configurations have been performed but the benefits of stating current far out weigh the pain of not having your required function or worse yet, falling outside the support window of a release.
