Imagine a digital bank integrating block chain technology with traditional banking services – that’s what Bankera owners have set out to achieve. The goal is simple – provide banking services to users of digital currency. Instead of supporting only cryptocurrencies as most cryptocurrency supporting exchanges do or fiat currencies as traditional financial institutions – Bankera’s services will support both cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies.
Bankera as the operation arm of SpectroCoin – a web based bitcoin wallet exchange provider will offer three lines of core traditional banking services:
Payment Accounts: Just as you would easily walk into a banking hall to open an account – this service operates in a similar fashion – the only thing is: it would be virtual. But comes complete with all the necessary stuffs you get from opening an account – you get your personal IBAN, debit cards, interbank foreign exchange rates, and payment processing. Also all services will support both cryptocurrencies as well as traditional fiat currencies. With the long-term view of implementing innovative solutions such as GDP-linked currencies or use of equity traded funds as a substitute for money.
Loans and deposits: Bankera will also offer loan services to its business customers who use the payment processing solution, while at the same time paying interest to both savings and current deposits.
Investments: this will consist of investing in low-cost investment products such as equity traded funds, crypto-funds (a portfolio of various cryptocurrencies and crypto tokens) as well as providing roboadvisory solutions for wealth management. Eventually Bankera will offer investment banking services including financing corporate strategies for their business clients.
This is quite innovative but how do they intend on achieving this?
To realize this task the founders of Bankera has broken the project into seven step roadmap:
Stage 1: Development of IT Infrastructure
According to the information available on their website, this stage is already complete. It states that the required IT infrastructure necessary for processing and issuance of personal IBANs or payment cards have already been developed and available as an MVP in the form of SpectroCoin.
The company also claims to have put in place the necessary regulatory arrangements to offer individual international bank account which permits them to handle payments in the Single Euro Payments Area.
Stage 2: Pre- ICO August 28th – September 28th
Distribution of 10 percent of the tokens to determine price of the ICO
Stage 3: E-money Capability September – October
Membership application for major payment networks begins, support for full P2P transfers and mobile wallets.
Stage 4: Initial Coin Offering mid-October
30 percent of tokens to be distributed in order to raise capital for meeting capital reserve ratio as required by banking regulators.
Stage 5: Banking Capability early 2019
At the end of the ICO, the next stage will be to obtain a banking license that will allow them offer loans and deposit services
Stage 6: Investment Solutions late 2019
Launch of services related to low-investment solutions
Stage 7: New Types of Money 2020
The synergy between investment and payment products will offer new types of money.
A Minimal Viable Product Already in Place
The team behind Bankera has shown they mean business with the development, testing and deployment of a working minimal value product. The rapid adoption of their platform by over 300,000 users as their payment processor of choice has positioned them to have a solid base to build from.
The Next Stage: ICO
Bankera is currently issuing its initial coin offering – think of this as the regular IPO and with the positive evidence pointing to this project’s success, a solid team of founders and advisors and a carefully crafted but flexible plan, and an already existing customer base to leverage on. Bankera’s ICO is one you should surely consider.
Mobility is a necessary human activity. No matter who you are or what you do, the need to move from one place to another is inevitable. Thanks to technology, the days of archaic transportation are over. Now, we get to move around in style with a variety of cars to choose from to suit our lifestyles. As we enjoy the luxury of our mobile machines, things could take a different turn in an accident either due to our fault or that of other road users. Regardless of whose fault it was, the damage is already done - and we are faced with the consequences, some of which are life threatening.
While we are still waiting to have our roads filled with futuristic technologies of self driving cars, we can take advantage of present car safety technologies to prevent getting involved in road accidents from utilizing our vehicles.
Here are three car safety technologies to keep you and other road users safe.
With natural light out of sight and darkness possessing the atmosphere, it’s no surprise that car accidents are high at night. Drivers with the brightest of sights need all the light they can get to effectively find their way around at night without running into cars or pedestrian road users. Standard headlights may be helpful but their inability to illuminate other areas other than what is directly in front of them is a cause for concern.
Adaptive headlights are flexible. The lights adjust in the same direction that you turn the steering wheel, brightening dark areas for clearer view. Built with electronic sensors, adaptive headlights are programmed to detect rotation of your car and illuminate only areas you turn to, in order to prevent blinding other drivers with your headlights.
2.Active rollover protection
If the car breaks could come on at the right time and at the right pace, accidents due to rollovers would drastically be reduced. Rollover accidents are very harmful as they do not affect only the car user but also other road users around.
Technology seeks to curb the rate of car rollovers with new innovations like the active rollover protection active suspension system. This proactive device automatically detects when a car is prone to a rollover, and immediately calculates the rollover direction and exerts force on the car to keep it in a static position. The hidden rollover bars in the rear head rest are activated to resist indiscriminate turning of the car, keeping its occupants safe. Car accident attorney Steve Dimopoulos explains that “a single uncontrolled rollover by a car in an accident can lead to serious injuries and corresponding liability.” Installing active rollover protection can save you the emotional and financial troubles.
3.Collision avoidance system
There are a thousand and one cars on the road and the number increases by the day. With many road users struggling to find their way around, there’s likely to be a collision. The best we can do, is to try to prevent these collisions.
Collision avoidance systems may not necessarily eradicate car collisions on the road but can greatly reduce the severity of harm or damage done. Also referred to as forward collision systems, collision avoidance systems have an inbuilt camera, laser and radar to detect an impending collision. When the system smells lurking danger, its sensors swing into action, alerting the driver through its alarm feature - and automatically breaks or controls the steering wheel depending on the car speed.
Driving is an activity too delicate to be left solely in the hands of drivers. Even when we try to be at alert, our bodies may not always be at its best to ensure maximum safety while driving. In the event of a gap, cars with technology-enhanced artificial intelligence step up to the occasion to make up for human error.

This time IBM's Consultants & Systems Integrator Interchange (CSII) event was held in Jaipur (The Pink City of India). The 3 days (actually 2.5 days) event started with keynote sessions and was fully packed with series of knowledge sharing session. This gives us a great opportunity to meet key IBM Leaders (sales as well as technical) in person and exchange lots of information and thoughts. This my 5th CSII event participation and I have seen this improving & getting better every year and theme being "Transformation for Growth".
As we had fully powere packed track sessions, meetings, hands-on experiences; we also had some fun and amusements in the evening with traditional music and rock n roll.
Thus the experience was very good and looking forward to participate in many such event.
Though it is more than a month, but still cannot resist myself to share my experience...
It was pleasure for me to participate in the "IBM Digital Experience Conference 2014 - Americas" in Anaheim, CA between 21st Jul - 24th Jul. The conference was was attended by approximately 1000 attendees that included Organization Executives (C-suite/CHRO) and IT professionals, Line of Business Executives, Business Analysts, Marketing & Sales Professionals, Digital Experience Professionals, IBM Business Partners & IT decision makers with full of insights on how to deliver customer-centered sales, service and support multi-channel digital experiences through use of technology and strategies in the areas of Social, Mobile, Cloud, Smarter Workforce, Commerce, Enterprise Market Management services, and more.
As tons of knowledge were shared across with over 125+ session tracks and 15+ hands-on labs, TCS presented a topic session on "Portal Farm Topology (Instance Cloning) on Public Cloud" under 'Best Practices' track mentioning about our journey towards implementing IBM WebSphere Portal on Cloud for a leading telecom customer in India.
It was also pleasure to meet some of key leaders in person; like Stephan Powers (Vice President & Research Director, @ Forrester), Robert Will (IBM Chief Architect, IBM WebSphere Portal & WCM @ IBM Labs US), Paul Kelsey (IBM WebSphere Portal & Cloud Architect @ IBM Labs), Lou Sassano & Jeff Seifert (Business Unit Executives Sales @ IBM SWG) and few of Customers to discuss on some potential aspects.
More importantly, the conference gave TCS a good platform to share its expertise in the areas of IBM WebSphere Portal & Cloud implementation. Meeting customers in person gave them a good confidence about TCS capabilities. Also, understanding of new market trends and IBM product offerings & roadmaps.
The conference has given TCS a great visibility in terms of ‘Thought Leadership’ in both Americas and Europe. Participating more in such events will take the level of TCS higher in the global market not only with respect to its practice & capabilities in Digital Experience and Social Collaboration technology but also help TCS grow with respect to recognition.
I am very eager to attend another version of “IBM Digital Experience Europe” coming up in October this year in Dusseldorf, Germany focusing Europe as geography.
In the process of integrating iNotes® with the Notes Browser Plug-in, it is also possible for you to open Notes applications in the Notes Browser Plug-in. If you receive a Notes application link (also called a doc link) in your iNotes email, clicking the application link will launch the application in the Notes Browser Plug-in. This works only if the Notes Browser Plug-in is installed on your system, and configured properly.
In addition, sometimes the opening of Notes application links or doc links depends upon the settings and configuration of the iNotes server. You may sometimes see and open a Notes application link or doc link only if the email was sent from iNotes, and not from the Notes Standard rich client.
