Check out the new IBM Storage Driver for OpenStack, version 1.3.1.
So what’s new in this version? First, we’ve added support for RHEL 6.5. This operating system is used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 4.0, and we are now in the process of certifying our new driver version for that platform. Second, following requests from customers, the driver now supports CHAP authentication over iSCSI connections, providing increased security.
So where does CHAP support fit in? You can choose to use CHAP authentication for your iSCSI connections (applicable only to XIV systems). The CHAP names and secrets are automatically generated and used per host thus enhancing the connection security.
