In the last blog post in the education series, Tim discussed the Db2 SQL Coding badge offered by InterSkill. Another company that offers Db2 skill courses is ExitCertified. They offer a variety of instructor-led classroom or virtual courses as well as self-paced learning including the Db2 11 for z/OS Application Programming Workshop.
ExitCertified’s Application Programming Workshop is intended for users who have experience with COBOL or PL/I for z/OS. The course is offered as both an instructor-led class or as a self-paced learning. The instructor-led option is estimated to take 3 days, currently with courses being offered virtually July 11-13, 2018 and October 3-5, 2018.
The course teaches you how to create application programs that utilize DB2 databases with a multitude of skills including incorporating static SQL statements in an application program, preparing the program for, and validating the execution results are correct among other skills.
Other courses offered by ExitCertified include courses about Db2 11 for z/OS System Administrations, DB2 11 for z/OS Application Performance and Tuning, and DB2 SQL Workshops for both the beginners and more experienced users.
