Closing the gap of cyber-security skills
IBM announced that it is adding 9 schools to its more than 200 partnerships with universities, this time with the focus being on collaborating to bring cyber-security skills to the classroom. As an example, the University of Texas at Dallas is applying IBM resources to develop cyber-security courses and curriculum in areas such as cloud and mobile computing, data mining for malware detection, and cyber-operations. Dr. Bhavani Thuraisingham, Executive Director of the Cyber Security Research and Education Institute (CSI) at UT Dallas, expands on this in the following video.
