We recently had an case where an instructor deviated from the designed course agenda and Lab Set-up Guide (LSG) and we ended up with a significant customer satisfaction issue. This is a reminder to all instructors, that, it's of the utmost importance, that all our courses be delivered as they were designed. Under no circumstances should they deviate from any course agenda, or the Lab Setup Guide, allow any download of other materials, patches, etc., unless discussed with the course owner, and fully tested in the CLP. In addition, anytime an instructor has a lab issue in their class, they need to immediately report the issue to the Instructor Hotline. It should be investigated fully so no other customer experiences the same problem (s), and not left unreported.

Hi folks! On 5/17 we announced a promotion that is in conjunction with IBM's Centennial Celebration. Students that attend an STG public class between 5/17 and 9/30 (enroll by 8/31) are eligible to receive a $100 Reward card. Robbi Muniz on our team is the point of contact for any questions with this promotion. Students need to put "giftcard" in the priority code field of the enrollment screen to be eligible. Also, the list price of the class needs to be $2500 or more. Other terms a listed on the web site:
Here is the landing page: www.ibm.com/training/us/stg/giftcard
We discussed this promotion, and if a student is already enrolled in a class and wants the $100 giftcard and they are outside the cancellation window, we can just add the priority code (provided other conditions are met). If the student is within the cancellation window, we can't just add the giftcard priority code.
NEED HELP IF A STUDENT HAS A QUESTION ON THE PROMOTION IN CLASS:
We ask that instructors not be mentioning this promotion in class. By then it is too late for a student to be eligible for the promotion. Mentioning it at that point would only make students that did not register with the priority code upset. If someone asks a question in class about the promotion, have the instructor handle it off line, one on one with the student and refer the student to IBM's Customer Satisfaction team - 1-800-IBM-Teac (1-800-426-8322)

Hello everyone, I want to make you aware that we are about to begin ekitting our ILO classes.
It is fitting in this 100th year of the IBM Corporation that we celebrate our progress as leaders in technology – IBM technology is the key to a Smarter Planet, and electronic training kits - eKits - are key to a greener planet.
Starting September 2011 we will begin the process of sending student materials in a secured PDF format for selected training courses. Our plan is to eKit all ILO classes by January 2012. (No hard copy kits will be shipped if the ILO course is ekitted.)
If the course you are teaching is included in the "eKit" course delivery method; approximately 10 business days before the start of your class students will receive a note with an IBM Learner Portal id and password, and instructions to access the learning materials for their course. At that time they can download the protected course PDF's and unlock them for viewing and/or printing, prior to attending class.
This new format of receiving ILO training course ware will give students greater portability with their notes and easier search ability when referring to them after the course.
Smarter training solutions are at the heart of IBM’s Smarter Planet initiative - the new eKits are smart and green!

Folks, we need your help in driving up the number of customers who are enrolling/participating in our Client Wiki. Could you please ask share the slide below with your students when you teach a class. We have included in the "speaker notes" the message the you should deliver when presenting the slide.
To drive enrollments in our courses and provide a better level of customer satisfaction we are asking you to advertise the client wiki at the end of the courses you teach. Our goal is to use the Client Experience Wiki to drive enrollments to the course offerings. As instructors this translates into possibly more scheduled teaching of courses.
If you have any questions please leave a comment on this blog posting.
