Using Impact and TADDM for Event Isolation and Correlation

Body

When trying to find the root cause of an event, application owners typically don’t have the proper tooling in place to quickly identify sources from dependant servers.  For example, how many times has your WebSphere application run slowly due to an issue with the database server, or how many times has your users suffered slow access to your applications with the LDAP server is performing less than optimally.  Using the Event Isolation Correlation feature in Impact 6.1 (also bundled in Tivoli Business Service Manager 6.1) and Tivoli Application and Discovery Manager, you can quickly identify potential problematic dependencies in the enterprise.
