This paper includes a step-by-step process for opening and validating problem tickets and events that originate from IBMÒ TivoliÒ Event Pump for z/OSÒ and sent to the IBM Tivoli NetcoolÒ/OMNIbus ObjectServer Active Event List (AEL). The paper also includes a description of the process of reconstructing and forwarding events from the Tivoli Event Pump to the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus ObjectServer through the event integration facility (EIF) probe. The deduplication of the event is also discussed. All of these activities require that you establish the Tivoli Event Pump on z/OS and IBM Tivoli Business Service Manager (TBSM) environment with real-time transaction monitoring.
