Next Thursday -- STE on TADDM's Script Based Discovery!
saracarl 100000RMNW Visits (3009)
Do you ever get tired of maintaining long access lists with different user names for every different application server? Do your WebSphere (Weblogic, Domino, etc) admins not want to give TADDM access to the administration accounts? Are you interested in discovery via ITM? If you answer "yes" to any of these questions, you should investigate script based discovery in TADDM, and this Support Technical Exchange (STE) will be a great place to start.
When we write STEs we use it as an opportunity to "deep dive' into a particular set of functionality. Sure, we read the manuals, but we also run scenarios in the lab, crawl through log files, look at old PMRs, and talk to our development team to give you a full picture of how the function works, how to set it up, how to troubleshoot it, and what the "gotchas" might be. You'll walk out with a much deeper understanding of script based discovery.
This STE will cover the differences between normal discovery, script based discovery, and asynchronous discovery; understanding script based discovery; configuration for script based discovery; access; TADDM configuration; logging; and asynchronous discovery.
