IBM Health Checker for z/OS events support has been added to Tivoli Event Pump for z/OS

As part of TBSM 6.1 GA Tivoli Event Pump for z/OS 4.2.2 has released an Interim Feature to enables IBM Health Checker for z/OS events support. This allows Event Pump to process Health Checker events, send them to Netcool/OMNIbus and provide the more efficient problem diagnosis using the additional availability events.
 
IBM Health Checker for z/OS is a z/OS component that can be used to gather information about z/OS system environment and system parameters to help identify potential configuration problems before they impact availability or cause outages. Individual products, z/OS components, or ISV software can provide checks that take advantage of the IBM Health Checker for z/OS framework. There are a number of checks supplied by the IBM Health Checker for z/OS and new one can be easily configured. Many of the z/OS base components are using the Health Checker for determining the health of the component including such great z/OS components as Predictive Failure Analysis (PFA) and Runtime Time Diagnostics (RTD):

The results of the checks from the Health Checker include important state information that is very meaningful to reflect the applications or component state and status in Netcool/OMNIbus or TBSM:

This new function is intended to help you quickly diagnose system problems and problems with persistent products. It's delivered with PTF UA62886 (APAR OA35054) and Feature Pack 4 4.2.2.4-TIV-EP-FP0004.
