Streetline's mission to make smart cities a reality through the use of sensor-enabled mobile and web applications continues. Since winning the IBM Global Entrepreneur of the Year
, Streatline has expanded their real-time parking
system to Salt Lake City's Temple Square and has captured a 1-year pilot program to enable sensors in parking spaces at the Fort Totten, Washington DC.
At the core of the program is Streetline's patented smart parking platform which detects the presence of a car through a network of ultra-low power wireless sensors
located in each parking space. No more circling the block looking for parking. No more running late because you can’t find a spot. No more relying on luck. Now, there’s an app for all that! Streetline’s Parker app makes parking easy by guiding you directly to open spaces, even in congested neighborhoods.
They have also partnered with Parkmobile
, a leading global provider of seamlessly integrated end-to-end solutions for pay by phone parking and digital parking permits. Recent customer satisfaction surveys indicated that using pay by phone is the preferred method of parking.
