Just a short ride for a good reason

If you've been in the ICS community for any length of time, you'll remember Paul Mooney. Although he's moved on professionally, we still claim him as one of ours, as is the case for almost all past community members. We're like the Hotel California: "you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave". That sounded creepy, but I meant it in the best possible way. In our community, friendships develop, and they transcend time and distance. Some have been going strong for over 20 years. New friendships are formed all the time, and many of those will last a lifetime, too. I'm so lucky that I get to witness this every day as part of my job. I could wax poetic about this all day, but I'll get to the point...
Paul is riding 1040 miles in 24 hours on his motorcycle to support a well deserving cause. And I see names from all over our community supporting him in this goal. If you're interested in helping Paul raise money for The Laura Brennan Charitable Trust, which helps to support children who may be suffering from serious, life threatening or life limiting illnesses, mosey on over to his everyday hero page and make a donation. Consider it paying it forward for all those times you made "short" jokes at Paul's expense, or credit for the ones you're going to make in the future.
And if you do make a short joke, be sure it's on Twitter with the hashtag #thelongroad so that we can all enjoy it ;-)
