Target redeploy_user_interface

Uninstalls and installs a specified user interface application.

Invocation:

When the operating system is Windows:

• Go to <MDM_INSTALL_DIR>/mds/scripts
• Invoke madconfig redeploy_user_interface

In other operating systems

• Go to <MDM_INSTALL_DIR>/mds/scripts
• Invoke ./madconfig.sh redeploy_user_interface

Inputs obtained:

• The user interface that has to be redeployed (amongst the deployed user interfaces)
• The WebSphere Application Server administrator user password corresponding to the server in which the UI is installed
• The WebSphere Application Server administrator user password corresponding to the server in which MDM is installed

Other details on application configuration are obtained from mdm_install.properties found in <MDM_INSTALL_DIR>/properties folder.  (In MDM v11.4 FP3 and MDM v11.5, other details are obtained from the properties file corresponding to the UI in directory <MDM_INSTALL_DIR>/properties)

Tasks performed:

• Uninstalls the web application (UI) specified by the user
• Starts the application server on which the web application has to be installed.
• Configures the web application based on details from the properties file and user input
• Installs the web application on the server
• Restarts the server on which the web application has been deployed

• <MDM_INSTALL_DIR>/logs/madconfig/java
