The SA z/OS team just provided an APAR with zEnterprise EC12 Toleration support. APAR number is OA39856, PTFs are available for SA z/OS 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4 releases. The APAR provides the necessary support to tolerate the new IBM zEnterprise EC12 mainframe systems as target for the SA z/OS hardware interfaces.
On April 7, 2014 IBM CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V5.2 has been announced with a planned availability date of June 13, 2014. This release includes support for stronger cryptographic ciphers per Special Publication 800-131A from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). scalability, high availability, security and ease of use.
