OMEGAMON XE for CICS on z/OS V5.3.0 Fix Pack 1, along with PTF UA78624 is now available and delivers improved metrics, integration to OMEGAMON for IMS on z/OS V.5.3.0 and additional support. IBM has delivered a number of new-function APARs (NFAs) on NetView for z/OS V6.2.1. Several of these were part of the announcement materials for the Service Management Suite for z/OS V1.3. We commented last week on expanded global variables. Another NFA gives customers the ability to specify the name used for the NetView subnode in the navigation tree in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal. OMEGAMON XE on z/OS is getting Flashy OMEGAMON XE on z/OS version 5.3.0 with Interim Feature 2 is providing support for the use of flash memory in Storage Class Memory. z/OS has supported Storage Class Memory since the introduction of the IBM zEC12 processor.
