On September 5, 2014 IBM CICS Transaction Gateway V9.1 became generally available. IBM recently announced the open beta of CICS Transaction Gateway on z/OS V9.1 . There are a number of significant new features provided, most notably JSON web service support allowing mobile clients to connect directly into a Gateway daemon and route requests securely through to CICS with minimal fuss. TWSz 9.2 gives the possibility to use two message log data sets, EQQMLOG and EQQMLOG2: using two MLOG data sets removes the necessity of stopping the controller to be able to save, or clear, the contents of a single data set. System Automation 3.4 provides a command receiver infrastructure that enables REXX/TSO programs to pass NetView, SA z/OS or MVS commands to SA z/OS for execution and to receive the response. The command receiver is able to dispatch incoming commands to a dedicated group of working tasks. This allows many TSO batch jobs and/or TSO users to issue SA commands at the same time.
