System Automation for z/OS (SA z/OS) has recently released the small product enhancement APAR OA43387 which contains improvements for the Relational Data Services (RDS). RDS helps you to organize large amount of data. Instead of using large sets of variables, you can use RDS in order to collect, update and retrieve data in relational tables similar to SQL tables. The SA z/OS team just provided an APAR with zEnterprise EC12 Toleration support. APAR number is OA39856, PTFs are available for SA z/OS 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4 releases. The APAR provides the necessary support to tolerate the new IBM zEnterprise EC12 mainframe systems as target for the SA z/OS hardware interfaces.
This self-paced audio-visual course provides an overview of the System Automation for z/OS 3.4 functional differences as they relate to implementation and administration. This is is the first of three courses in a set of courses that cover implementation and administration differences.
