This is as easy as "one two three" now with OMEGAMON XE on zOS V5.3. First from the LPAR overview screen in the Enhanced 3270UI pick your LPAR with MSU use high - in this example it is Z2 at 98% of MSU Capacity - put "M" in the selection for the 4HR Rolling Average MSU Statistics for Z2.
The "M" shows us the MSU details for the LPAR Z2.

The new OMEGAMON XE for Messaging V7.3.0 provides both real-time and historical performance and availability management capabilities for your IBM MQ. One of the enhancements in V7.3.0 is geared toward the new Enhanced 3270 user interface (E3270UI) and provides Near-Term-History. You can quickly and easily resolve problems by viewing the resources when the symptoms first started – in the last few hours or past few days. IBM has announced the V5.3.0 release of the IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON XE for CICS on z/OS product. The new release of the product provides additional exploitation of the Enhanced 3270 User Interface feature which will significantly improve the problem solving capability of CICS system administrators.
Some of the key enhancements to the OMEGAMON XE for CICS on z/OS v5.3.0 product include:

IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON XE on z/OS V5.3 provides for the SMEs, such as system programmers, the capability to manage z/OS operating system resources and workloads. It provides the ability to combine information from z/OS and multiple z/OS subsystems, including middleware, into a single screen for greater integrated problem determination capabilities. Planned availability date is September 5, 2014.

When you associate a mouse click with the Enter key in your 3270 emulator session (see the June 21 2013 blog on how to do this)
then with the Enhanced 3270UI you can go ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM from high level issue very quickly to the specific details.

With the Enhanced 3270UI in OMEGAMON, there can be times the user sees "No Data" conditions on the 3270. The Enhanced 3270UI can now be super charged with some new enhancements just shipped. This applies to all Enhanced 3270UI OMEGAMONs today.
New workspaces supplied for the Tivoli Monitoring Hub Connectivity Administration workspaces assist you with the use of the enhanced 3270 user interface with getting monitoring started quickly. Administration panels are provided that verify the IBM Tivoli Monitoring Hub Connectivity Administration for first time logon and subsequent logon verification, which can be easily managed at any time.
If you see in your e3270ui the Sysplex overview panels in the E3270UI show no data and it gives a use ZOSLPARS to get a list of LPARs and to be able to see LPAR level information then this technote may apply to you. Also in the TEP if the Sysplex level is grayed out in the navigator tree then it also may apply.
