IBM has just released a brand-new set of performance and availability monitoring capabilities for its zEnterprise™ hybrid computing system.
With this release, IBM offers for the first time an end-to-end monitoring solution for the zEnterprise environment, its physical and virtual resources and workload resource groups. Please click here to read the announcement in detail.
Only a single instance of the monitoring agent is required to monitor all zEnterprise systems in a customer's data center. Through the Tivoli Enterprise Portal, the agent can readily be integrated with existing capabilities in the ITM, ITCAM and OMEGAMON families of monitoring products. Historical data collection and out-of-the-box Cognos reports available through Tivoli Common Reporting aid in analytics and capacity planning tasks.
Where can I learn more about the new zEnterprise monitoring capabilities?
Please visit the Tivoli zEnterprise Monitoring wiki for additional information, how-to demos and best practices.
An overview article will get you started with the solution.
