PM98548 Fix return code 8 issues when installing TDSz components
Previously users receive a return code of 4 or 8 when installing TDSz components, even though no serious error had occurred. This APAR removes the majority of causes of return code 4 and 8 messages when installing components. A non-zero return code should now only be received when a serious error has occurred.
PM78418 SMF 113 Exploitation
Hardware Instrumentation Services (HIS) on z/OS can be configured to collect CPU Measurement Facility (CPU MF) data in SMF type 113 subtype 2 records, which may be used to measure cache / memory hierarchy characteristics. APAR PM78418 provides exploitation support in TDSz version 181 for SMF type 113 subtype 2 records, in the z/OS System (MVS) Component, subcomponent System Statistics. The new reporting capabilities provided with this APAR may be utilized by TDSz users to supplement current performance metrics characteristics, or as a secondary data source to understand why performance may have changed.
