Refresh interval settings in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal: It's important to say Yes to save

Recently I found myself perusing various articles and presentations on using the Tivoli Enterprise Portal and especially on workspace usage. I found a neat little setting within the Tivoli Enterprise Portal that enables you to refresh the data that is displayed in your workspace on demand or at a set interval.
Suppose you have a workspace in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal that you want to run in automatic update mode. In the Tivoli Enterprise Portal, you can go to View>Refresh Every and specify the refresh interval you want when you view your workspace. The refresh intervals are:30 seconds, 60 seconds, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 60 minutes and On Demand. The Tivoli Enterprise Portal client receives monitoring data from monitoring agents whenever you open a workspace that includes query-based views. The default setting for most predefined workspaces is On Demand, which means retrieved data remains static until you refresh it manually.
But, what happens if you navigate away from that workspace to do another task within the Tivoli Enterprise Portal?
The refresh action might be turned off when you navigate back to it.
Here's a way to make it all good.
When you associate automatic update with a specific refresh interval for your workspace, remember to click Yes on the Save Worskpace dialog.
Then fill out the fields in the Save Workspace as dialog and click OK before navigating away.
If you click Yes, then, when you navigate back to the workspace, the refresh interval option will be enabled again.
You can associate the automatic update option with specific workspaces within the Tivoli Enterprise Portal, which makes more sense than in the classic (3270) interface, where it's on or off all the way for the entire session.
