Reduce CPU% of OMEGAMON XE 420 on z/OS TEMS and Realtime Collector when displaying Common Storage data.

I am a Performance Engineer for a Health Insurance provider that has $15 billion in revenue, $100 billion in total assets, and employs approximately 65,000 people.
Our core business application runs in a 4-way Parallel Sysplex utilizing Customer Information Control System (CICS), Information Management System (IMS), Websphere Messaging, and DB2.
We rely on several IBM® Tivoli® OMEGAMON® products to monitor this production environment including OMEGAMON XE 420 on z/OS.
During month end processing, Common Storage is carefully monitored by our Operation's staff and other support teams utilizing TEP workspaces and the Realtime Collector.
While Common Storage is being monitored, we notice CPU% of the TEMS and Realtime Collector asids increases.

When using IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON XE 420 on z/OS to display Common Storage data, there are a couple of performance enhancements you should look into. These enhancements can reduce CPU% of the TEMS and Realtime Collector when displaying Common Storage data.

These APARs modify the code so that SORT processing is dramatically reduced. The CPU% savings will be seen in the Realtime Collector when displaying Common Storage data using the OMEGAMON II CUA task, and in the TEMS when displaying Common Storage workspaces in the TEP, or running situations against Common Storage tables.
