Is your NetView netlog cluttered with a lot of messages you don't want or need to see? You can keep a NetView message out of your netlog as follows:
1) Update your automation table with the following:
THEN DISPLAY(N) NETLOG(N) SYSLOG(N) HCYLOG(N);
2) The message can also be written to NetView auto operators opers directly by a program. AON does this with a lot of messages. The automation table is not used to issue the message at all. You will need to set up Netview exit DSIEX04 to filter the msgid from the auto operators and the netlog.
If the message is a MVS Message and is not being automated on, the best course of action is to keep it out of NetView alltogeather using the MPF Table or the NetView MRT.
