Besides running OMEGAMON XE on z/OS, we’ve recently installed OMEGAMON XE for CICS on z/OS to monitor our CICS environment. Dear Hungry in Hawaii,
I’m glad your team found the recommendations provided in the ‘Best Practices for OMEGAMON XE on z/OS TEP Situations’ article helpful.
When setting up OMEGAMON XE for CICS on z/OS TEP Situations, consideration should be given to “which situations you run in what type of environment.” For example, some situations may not need to run in a test environment. Each customer should validate, and if required, adjust the thresholds specified for each situation based on their applicability to the environment and the configuration.
