During the process of creating and configuring a brand new RTE, you may encounter lots of unexpected problems especially when you are a beginner. Don't worry, today, we'll show you a video demo guiding you to complete creating an RTE with the latest PARMGEN DLA feature.

1. Take you through scenario QCF10--configuring a sharing-with-SMP/E runtime environment with a hub monitoring server .
This is a very detailed step-by-step guide, and for the purpose of covering all kinds of problems you may encounter, we use scenario QCF10(@MDLHSS) to configure a sharing-with-SMP/E runtime environment with a hub monitoring server, which includes all products in the new RTE.
In our latest release, PARMGEN PTF UA82508 for APAR OA50912 (4Q16 Interim Feature) introduces the new PARMGEN z/OS DLA integration enhancement. This new feature enables self-discovery of product parameter values during the PARMGEN configuration phase of z Management Suites deployment, thus increasing customer TTV (Time-to-Value) and ease of use. After running the DLA autodiscovery job, lots of parameters can be auto-discovered with "$DLARPT" flag.
3. Show you the troubleshooting steps for the config profile errors by using the validation report.
You may probably got a return code "00008" after running the $PARSE job in step 3, which means the composite job fails with errors.
Follow this video instruction to review the validation report, and then resolve all the errors.
