In PARMGEN 3Q17 Interim Feature PTF UA91953, a new PARMGEN DLA menu is introduced. It makes easier for users to access key PARMGEN DLA autodiscovery tasks by listing the various PARMGEN KCIJPDL* jobs, $DLA* reports and DLA* shortcut commands in a concentrated panel. You can access the PARMGEN DLA menu by typing the 'DLAMENU' command from the UTILITIES (KCIPQPGU panel).
In this PTF, two new PARMGEN z/OS DLA reports: DLA delta report and DLA map report are introduced to aid staged maintenance and upgrades.
DLADLTA: The DLA delta report is created by submitting the KCIJPDLA composite job or the KCIJPDL2 "Generate PARMGEN $DLARPT report from DLA IDML books dataset" if both $DLARPT and $DLAMAP reports already exist in the RTE's WCONFIG dataset. 'DLADLTA’ command displays the $DLADLTA delta report. This $DLADLTA delta report compares the previous $DLARPT report with the latest $DLARPT report run. The delta report highlights the changes in the %RTE_NAME% LPAR RTE user profile and the $GBL$USR global user profile.
DLAMAP: The DLA map report is created by submitting the KCIJPDLA composite job or the KCIJPDL3 "Refresh %RTE_NAME% /$GBL$USR user profiles with $DLARPT data" job. DLAMAP command displays the $DLAMAP report that maps what $DLARPT parameters equate to the equivalent PARMGEN %RTE_NAME% and $GBL$USR user profile parameters.
