The Dynamic Critical Path feature is entirely managed by the Controller and Daily Plan Batch tasks. There are no other requirements. The only times that you are asked to specify for the (critical) operation are the deadline and the estimated duration times. After that, the feature automatically calculates and
adjusts the intermediate times to adhere to the defined times without requiring any further manual intervention. To activate Dynamic Critical Path, leave to YES the CRITJOB... [More]

Hello, this is John Arnesen with NetView and System Automation level 2 support.
We occasionally get a new PMR where the customer sends in a module trace. Typically the trace is Rexx tracing - (AOCTRACE rexx_exec ON/OFF,rexx_options). While this is good tracing to see, it turns out that Debug tracing (AOCTRACE rexx_exec ON/OFF) is more helpful and the preferred trace to run. It turns out that most of the SA Rexx execs have PIPE SAFE or PIPE KEEP coded, and the Debug Trace will often dump out the contents of a SAFE or KEEP as well as other... [More]
