Starting with z/OS V2R1 XL C/C++, the initialization of complex types can be enabled by LANGLVL(EXTC1X) for C and LANG
With the LANGLVL(EXTC1X) option specified, you can initialize C99 complex types with a value of the form x + yi, where x and y can be any floating point value, including Inf or NaN.
To enable initialization of complex types, the C language header file complex.h must be included in your program. To use the C language header file complex.h in C++ programs, you must specify the LANG
Detailed information about the initialization of complex types and examples can be found in z/OS
