Digital data is flooding our society. Daily we are faced with a torrent of structured and unstructured data containing complex interrelationships and correlations. Merely keeping up with this flood, and storing the bits that might be useful, is difficult enough. Analyzing it, to spot patterns and extract useful information, is even more complex. However, the data deluge is already starting to transform business, government, science and everyday life. In parallel, data deluge is pushing IT organizations to reorganize their IT resources so to have some of them as nearest as possible to the data sources and consequently speed-up their analysis. Data center form the backbone of this change. In fact, the data center topology of the future needs to balance and optimize the movement, analysis and privacy of the processed data.
