Apple has taken steps to migrate enterprise DEP/VPP clients to their new Apple Business Manager console. Similar in form and function to the existing Apple School Manager, but with a focus on what is important to businesses deploying Apple devices today.
I've received many inquiries as to what the impact will be in MaaS360 when the legacy deploy.apple.com portal is migrated to the new business.apple.com setup. The answer is "no impact" at this time. DEP and VPP will continue to function as they have in the past, and of course if Apple introduces new features that MDM vendors can take advantage of, we will implement them ASAP.
There are some functional differences in the Apple portal itself to be aware of, however. DEP and VPP are integrated in to a single dashboard that is easily navigated, and both the DEP and VPP tokens are downloadable from the UI.

The DEP functionality is under the "MDM Servers" and "Device Assignments" headers on the left. Not much is different there. VPP is embedded in this portal now as well. Apps and Books will bring up a search pane where the admin signed in can make purchases, and download the tokens.
Once on the new console, there should not be any service disruptions, but if you find issues with token sync please download a new token from the Business Manager console and update the existing token(s) in MaaS360. For more information about Apple Business Manager, please visi
