Here's a list of the developerWorks crew who will be down at SXSW
this year! This year's team consists of video experts, open source
wizards, propeller heads, coders, and a grammarian (of all things!). If
they aren't attending a panel discussion, workshop, or the like, they
can most likely be spotted at the IBM Future Lounge of Social (ACC Room
1). Come on by and pick their brains about social business, the power
of content, accessibility, and cool video tricks.
You probably recognize Scott from the
interviews he does at events. (If you've missed them you should check
out his blog now!) Scott will be there with microphone and camera in
hand capturing everything he can about the event, both in the IBM
Future of Social Lounge and roving around the conference. He'll
probably also spend some time schmoozing with the musicians as he is an
accomplished professional drummer in his spare time.
You've never met David, nor seen his name
mentioned but you use his stuff every time you come to developerWorks.
He is one of the people who quietly develops behind the scenes and
helps find new and interesting ways to push the technical envelope for
your education and enjoyment. You will probably find him lurking at any
discussion of hands-on social media development.
Steve works at IBM and loves the
environment of innovation IBM fosters. He has a passion for the Green
movement and innovation that makes the world a smarter and better
place. Steve is looking forward to searching out new and cool
technologies and new developments in social media at SXSW. Also stop by
the IBM Future of Social Lounge, Steve will be hanging out there, as
Chris is a real open-source software kinda guy with a genuine interest
in how technology brings people together and creates individual
opportunity. When not in the IBM lounge, you'll probably find him in
sessions about media production, social media, open technologies, and
how people and society are being affected by technology.
Chad has worn multiple hats during his 3 years at developerWorks.
Currently, he's wearing all of them at once (a good balancing act
exercise). You can usually find him at the IBM Future of Social Lounge,
unless he's attending a special agent panel. His interests include web
accessibility, social business, developerWorks, and the IBM Student
Keep up as they tweet, blog, and update their way through the SXSW
conference, sharing their own thought and experiences as only the
developerWorks crew can. Don't just sit back and watch, though. Join
the developerWorks crew to be a part of this great event.
