I fixed a small problem in an optimization to our runtime which I added to the PagingGrid implementation. Please try again with the attached The change is in PagingGridUtil.js.<div>&nbsp;</div> Chris

Whatever you did fixed it ... I changed my records back to the way they were, and works fine. Thanks for looking into it.

We used the Hyperlink widget to retrieve PDF documents and I'm not sure on how to set this up with the new paging grid. Dan is gone today ... He's my resource guy. I read the post above, but cannot get figure out exactly how to achieve this. He is our code for the old grid:<div>&nbsp;</div> function formatStaticFields(grid Grid in, td Widget in, row any in, rowNumber int in, column GridColumn in) <div>&nbsp;</div> case<br /> when ( == "STMF") <br /> image Rasarc =<a class="jive-link-adddocument" href=";subject=rowNumber">rowNumber</a> as Rasarc;<br /> link Hyperlink { class="imageViewerList_link", text = clip(image.STMF), onClick ::= viewImageButton_onClick };<br /> link.setID("image"+rowNumber);<br /> link.setAttribute("imageName", clip(image.STMF));<br /> link.setAttribute("imageType", "jpg");<br /> link.setAttribute("uid", image.RAICN);<br /> td.children = <a class="jive-link-adddocument" href=";subject=+link+">link</a> ;<br /> end<div>&nbsp;</div> end

Chris --<br /> What's the syntax for making a selection on the grid?<div>&nbsp;</div> previously, I had:<br /> properties records.STREETS[0];<br /> .<br /> .<br /> selected records.STREETS = gridSelector.selection[1];<br /> selected.PASTREET;<div>&nbsp;</div> but now the paging grid doesn't like the array index.

Gregory,<div>&nbsp;</div> See the PagingGridDemo.egl example. It also uses the PagingGridSelector and shows its use. The selection has been replaced by a Dictionary, which is more efficient dealing with a large number of records.

Hello Chris,<div>&nbsp;</div> We tried your solution to get cell data by filtering the grid using grid.getElementsByClassname, however in our egl rui 1.0.2 implementation this function is not known. We then tried grid.getElementsByName, but this function returns an error ('function is not supported by object' or at runtime.<div>&nbsp;</div> Ortwin

Dan and I ran into the same thing. Did not find geElementsByClassname. Could someone post a example with PagingGridDemo.egl.

I am working now into adding the performance enhancements in PagingGrid into the original Grid, keeping the original API intact, and making sorting, paging, scrolling and selection be built in services. I will start a new blog entry to track that.<div>&nbsp;</div> For now, please just look at PagingGrid as an example of the good things to come soon <img class="jive-emoticon" border="0" src="" alt=":-)" /><div>&nbsp;</div> Chris

Hi all PagingGrid enthusiasts...<div>&nbsp;</div> I just completed a blog entry on the newly designed Grid widget that takes many of the speed improvements from PagingGrid, adds them to the existing Grid API, and adds other useful features, such as sorting, selection, and scrollbar. <div>&nbsp;</div> Take a look at <a class="jive-link-external" href=""></a>.<div>&nbsp;</div> Chris

looks like link is dead. Any new location on the code?
