We have application lifecycle capabilities, tools and approaches but why are we still not delivering on time or against the requirements of the project? We have expertise that runs deep in Line of Business, Software Development and Operations -- so what's missing?
Well for one thing we see a lack of coordination between the disciplines. Pile on top of that the need to work with outside vendors, your team that is distributed all over the place, and although expertise in each various team is a good thing -- requirements, design, develop, test, build -- it also seems to be inhibiting to cross-discipline coordination.
Now imagine a smooth, coordinated flow across all of those disciplines! You can just imagine what you could accomplish if you only could achieve coordination across the people, information, data and tools that you care about. And best practices being shared not only within your team but to other teams to address that "garbage in, garbage out" phenomenon. If you are in a regulated industry, you have an even more critical need to be coordinated.
