Time for our annual reality check. Here at developerWorks, we spend a lot of time telling you about technologies that we think are important to the IT community -- such as business analytics, cloud computing, mobile computing, and social business. We do our best to hit the target, but once a year we ask you to help us train our sights.
The 2012 IBM Tech Trends Survey is your chance to set us straight on which technologies you're currently using or planning to use, how you're using them, which skills you're developing, and more. It's 15 minutes well spent. Want proof? More than 4,000 of you from all over the world responded to last year's survey, and the results painted a fascinating picture of how these tools help you and your organizations stay productive, innovative, and successful.
The more responses we get, the more accurate the results (which we'll be happy to share), so give us your two cents and pass this along to friends, colleagues, peers, or anyone else whose input can help bring the IT picture into focus.
Targets, paintings, photography ... next year, I promise to keep the metaphors under control.
Until next week,
John Swanson and the developerWorks editorial team
