Maybe the summer weather has gone to my head, but I think laziness has gotten a bad rap, particularly among the tech crowd. Sure, every new web application promises to make life easier for its users -- by, say, lowering costs, saving time, or increasing convenience -- but what about developers? Don't you deserve a little something, too? This week's top feature on developerWorks lets you have it both ways: "Create rich data-centric web applications using JAX-RS, JPA, and Dojo" shows you how to take advantage of these technologies to develop an app that enables users to manipulate large amounts of data on the web and relieves you of a whole lot of tedious coding. Plus, the technologies are extensible so if you're feeling ambitious (no pressure), you can expand the app to meet your needs.
Of course, not all of you are experiencing summer right now, but that doesn't mean you can't be lazy. Now that a certain sporting event is over, I'm guessing there are a few folks in South Africa who could use a little downtime.
Until next week,
