I'm a HUGE fan of the new options available on My Home on My developerWorks. If you haven't already played around with it, here's a few tips to get you started...
Click on Home in My developerWorks. You'll end up on the Updates tab, on Public updates. This displays everything happening in My developerWorks as it happens. You can narrow it down to just look at certain views if you want, by clicking on things like Blogs, Groups, or Forums.
You can also click on the My Updates sub-tab. This gives you a smaller, more customized view of updates related to your network, your groups, etc.
I love the real time aspect of these views on My Home - it gives me a chance to just browse through the latest activity. But sometimes I discover an interesting blog post, but I don't have time to read it right away. Luckily, I can use the Save this item function. I just click on the line I'm interested in and it gives me the opportunity to Save this item.
Once I click on Save this item, it automatically goes into the My saved items view and I can go back to it any time. I can also use this to save status updates or people's profiles that I want to go get to know later.
So try out the Save this item function on My Home, and discover how it can help you be more efficient as you explore My developerWorks.
