Setting federated login for Connections Desktop/MS Office Plugin

Federated login doesn't work in Connections Desktop/MS Office plugin.
Here is the screen shot in Preferences page:
When user clicks "Test Connection", here is the error:
User can login https://adfs.acme.com/adfs/ls/IdpinitiatedSignOn.aspx?loginToRp=https://apps.ap.collabserv.com/sps/sp/saml/v2_0&authType=simpleForm by desktop's browser.
The desktop plugins are expecting a SAML form (1.2 or 2.0) in the response to the call to the auth endpoint.
The plugins will parse and submit the SAML form.
From the URL given, it seems user has configured to use simple forms login, which the plugins do not support with the "Connections Cloud Authentication" module.
To use simple forms, you should 'connect to site' and select "Web Forms Authentication" as Authentication type in Connections Desktop Plugin preferences.
