The CDTM Trend Seminar and Product Development Curriculum: Smart Energy
Kathy MacWillliams 100000GQFD Visits (2010)
This includes two courses for Smarter Energy. The first is a seven week course in which students are introduced to smart energy and various examples. Students will be given team-based projects on which they must demonstrate broad knowledge over relevant trends, derive key driving forces and create future scenarios for a time horizon of the year 2025. After having an idea of what the future could look like, students will be tasked to develop innovative business ideas and test robustness for their developed scenarios from the perspective of different important stakeholders of smart energy. The second course is also based on lectures and a project which requires student teams to work on a specific product development task in the area of smart energy such as VPP or micro grids brought in by an industry partner.
