Course objectives will be to focus student attention on designing information architectures that are energy efficient; capitalise on opportunities to use and replenish underutilised environmental resources (e.g. solar powered generators for intraorganisation communications); and balance the needs of citizens with environmental sustainability. In our course we propose to build and evaluate the case studies from the perspectives of the industries and organisations, including public and corporate libraries, provincial archives, museums and cultural heritage institutions, in their roles as information systems designers and architects in the business community.
