This project will transfer the knowledge and experience gained in the living laboratory on the University of Hawaii Maui College (UHMC) campus to the classroom in the format of a structured, hands-on, lab-oriented course focused on networking and sustainability and energy management. Students will have opportunity to be educated in monitoring energy consumption and working with renewable energy systems including photo-voltaic, wind and solar hot water as well as energy management installations. The project will contribute toward making the students work-ready for jobs in the expanding field of energy management and renewable energy systems.
