Using IBM Performance Management 8.1.1 you can now easily monitor the IBM Java application stack from the browser, to the web server and application server, all the way through to the database. If you want to monitor IBM HTTP Server, IBM WebSphere Application Server, and IBM DB2 or Oracle database, this new functionality is for you. Recent Fixpack (FP2) of the Oracle Extended agent V6.3.1 introduced some enhancements in the configuration process. Now, it is possible to specify, using the UI or the command line, a connection type value between Basic, TNS and Advanced.
