Marvin Goodman has been with IBM for more than 13 years, and has 18 years experience in IT, serving roles in quality assurance, software development, acquisition evaluation, market analysis, competitive analysis and product management, before moving into his current market management role. The majority of that time has been spent working with application and infrastructure performance and availability applications, watching the birth of Cloud computing, and gradually progressing along the Cloud maturity ladder along with the customers he works with. He is well acquainted with the decision points that customers face, tackling questions about how and where to deploy applications (and how to manage them once deployed) and the infrastructures they run on. From wringing the promised cost-savings out of private clouds, to brokering services on public clouds, to Software as a Service, he’s worked with customers across many fronts.
