Transaction baselines, deviations and hotspots

One way that ITCAM for Transactions helps you isolate problems is by calculating a baseline for every transaction that it tracks.
A deviation is the difference between the current value (the 5 minute average) and the baseline. It is expressed in workspaces as a percentage change.
Baseline deviations provide meaningful alerts out-of-the-box. You do not need to configure thresholds for each different type of transaction.
The topology uses baseline deviations to determine a hotspot, indicating the most likely cause of a performance problem.
