It seems like only yesterday I was at PULSE, talking with clients and overcoming jet lag. PULSE was fantastic, and I hope you had a chance to hear some great speakers and also say hi to old friends. I still recall what Peyton Manning shared in his keynote about innovation, strategy and leadership. One particularly interesting conversation I had was with a client who uses Smart Cloud Application Performance Management to monitor their SAP environment -- he was happy with the new capabilities we added to the SAP monitoring solution over the past few years. He loved our new user interface because it was simple for his staff to learn and they were able to quickly resolve downtime issues before their customers ever noticed. I was happy to talk with a happy customer. But he did have one issue... he needed support for SAP Netweaver 7.3.1. I was excited to call my client friend a few weeks ago to let him know that we delivered SAP Netweaver 7.3.1 support with our new fixpack "Great news, Jian!" I also let him know that the fixpack included performance improvements for CCMS alert, PI/XI currency support and self describing agent support. The "self describing agent feature" is part of the IBM®Tivoli®Monitoring agents -- self describing agents become operational after installation, without needing to perform any additional installation steps. You can learn more about performance improvements and the fixes delivered with the IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager Agent for SAP Applications 7.1 Fixpack 1, at this link: Fixpack 1.
