ItmSysp: Combining Bags and Combining Agents

I love to take pictures of family and friends, then quickly load the pictures to my tablet to show everyone. For a long while, I had a camera bag that was not quite large enough for my tablet, so I carried the tablet in a separate bag. When I recently bought a new camera, I wanted a new camera bag, so I found one designed to combine both a camera and a tablet. I'm always interesting in ways to make things simpler. (It is a bit ironic that I used my phone to take this picture - if I always used my phone's built-in camera, I would not need a bag at all!)
With the System p agents, we are working hard to simplify your life! And one way we are doing that is by combining agents. See my post on the HMC
The other combination is moving the AIX Premium agent function into the UNIX OS agent. The UNIX OS agent v6.2.3 Fix Pack 1 was the first pass, and about 50 AIX Premium agent attributes are now in that release of the UNIX OS agent. You can find the list of attributes in UNIX
The new ITM 6.3 version of the UNIX OS agent now has over 200 attributes from the AIX Premium agent. These attributes are in UNIX
If you are running AIX Premium agent on your LPARs, take a look at the attributes above and see if you can use the UNIX OS agent alone to monitor your systems. As Henry David Thoreau said: "Simplify, simplify."
